Pedigree of the Fownes-Luttrells of Dunster Castle, England
In the mid-eighteenth century Margaret Luttrell, only daughter of Alexander Luttrell, esq. of Dunster Castle, married Henry Fownes, esq. of Nethway House, in the county of Devon. Mr. Luttrell had no male heirs. His estates devolved, at his death, upon his daughter whose husband, Henry Fownes, assumed in consequence the additional surname and arms of Luttrell.
